Thom Hartmann
Thom Hartmann
Hartmann’s “No Boring Zone” technique of delivery draws in listeners who just couldn't handle another tedious interview (other than Independent Congressman Bernie Sanders, who's a Friday regular, about the only guests Hartmann has on his show are conservatives with whom he debates). Hold on to your seats as Thom demonstrates how to talk back to the right wing talking points right-wing talking points--by doing it!

Named one of talk radio's “100 Heavy Hitters” by Talkers Magazine, and "Top Ten New Voices in Talk Radio" for 2004 by Radio Ink.

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your progressive programs. -Helen

I just want to tell you how happy I am to be able to listen to the radio again. I expect that at least half the country (and more than that in this community) is relieved to hear some fresh perspectives. Your station is now a regular part of my daily routine… THANKS FOR GIVING US A LITTLE SPOT ON YOUR AM RADIO!!! -Charles

I write regarding the new programming on WNYY, I must say I found the station, quite by mistake but how much I enjoy the station, particularly the Randi Rhodes Show which is unhealthily addictive… Mark Malloy? Man, he’s quite strong in what he says but damn listenable. -Christian

Thank goodness this area finally has an affiliate of AAR. I was surprised that it took so long for someone to catch on how popular AAR would be around here. Thank you! -Christopher

Air America is a breath of fresh air. I’m hooked. I used to stream Air America while at work but now I even bought personal radio so I can exercise, garden and shop with WNYY. -Micaela

I’m really glad Air America is her and I hope you’ll thrive. -Nancy

I wholeheartedly endorse the new format that your radio station has adopted. I believe that it provides programming that has a devoted following with no place else to turn.
I drive about ten hours a week for my job and I very much struggle with boredom on my trips. For the last few months I resorted to reading the New Your Times while I drove. As you may imagine this led to other complications and dangers. I am so relieved to have found your station as it allows me to pass the hours in the car without going stir crazy. My workdays are significantly improved now that I am able to listen to your station as I drive. -Milan

We (My co-workers and myself) spend a great deal of the day to the new station WNYY. It’s a great station and very informative. We especially love Randi Rhodes. Please keep up the good programming… -Joad

I was skeptical when I switched from 870 AM to 1470 AM, but not for long! Air America is great! Keep up the good work on the new programming format! -Rich

I think it’s great!!! Thanks for doing! -Pete

I have not listened to AM radio since I was in high school, which was a long time ago. Now I listen all the time. I am telling all my friends about WNYY 1470 on the AM dial. Keep up the good work. -David

What a terrific addition to life in Ithaca: progressive radio with a sense of humor… In addition you have some great interviews with investigative journalists, politicians, etc. KEEP IT GOING. JJB
